Philodendron 'prince of orange' is one of my absolute favorite philodendrons to use in our south Florida landscapes. With most philodendrons being solid green, this is a striking looking plant and is easy to grow either indoors or outside. Grows in a variety of light except direct sunlight if outdoors, does not like to be dry. Prince of Orange prefers filtered sun and more on the moist side of wet. Shown in the pictures with our gorgeous vining philodendron 'lemon-lime' (also a great hanging house plant) for an eye catching landscape. Believe me when I say you will probably be one of a select few with this philodendron in your collection! Grows in zone 9-11 and is not frost hardy.
Though be aware for all you pet owners and parents to check whether any plant has poisonous elements to it before introducing it as a house plant. The philodendron family is considered poisonous if parts of the actual plant are ingested. Here is a link for your concerns on the symptoms and treatment for philodendrons because we are animal lovers and parents as well.
Our philodendron 'prince of orange's are currently sold in a 1-gallon and a 3-gallon pot though we do have 7-gallon plants as well so please contact us if you are interested in a larger plant. The 1-gallon plants are currently around 12-14 inches high and the 3-gallon are about 1 1/2 to 2 ft high. Because it is a living plant we expedite shipping to make sure the plant arrives healthy and alive. Please read the section about our plants on our FAQs page for more information.
