Anthurium veitchii is called by many as The King, due to the extremely large deep green leaves with the coolest undulating ribs across the leaves. The textural "ribs" have a way of reflecting sunlight which in turn create a very sculptural effect. Especially true since the petioles look like they push the leaves straight up and out, like they are just dangling in air. Talk about a super impressive species! This species grows quite large with leaves reaching approx. 3 ft long sometimes even larger when happy. This is definitely a must have for every aroid collector.
Anthurium veitchii grows in its native Columbia, South America where the climate is warm with high humidity, moist soil and bright light. We currently have them growing in part sun/part shade as understory plants in our tree canopy. Like many of our plants, we have our veitchii growing in outdoor conditions so there migh be imperfections in the leaves.
Though be aware for all you pet owners and parents to check whether any plant has poisonous elements to it before introducing it as a house plant. Many of the aroid family is considered poisonous if parts of the actual plant are ingested. Please research all plants before bringing them into the house. We are animal lovers and parents as well.
Our philodendron veitchii's are sold in an 8-inch hanging basket and approx. 18-24 inches. Because it is a living plant we expedite shipping to make sure the plant arrives healthy and alive. Please read the section about our plants on our FAQs page for more information.
