Just in case if you have never heard of a mango, then let it be my pleasure to introduce them to you!  These are a tropical/subtropical medium to large tree that can grow in a container or directly into the ground.  They need a minimum of 6 hours of full sun and can grow in a variety of soils.  The very first mangoes originated from India hundreds of years ago, since they there are over 500 varieties in the United States alone!  Every mango variety has different flavor profiles, shapes and growing habits but they all are a delicious sweet fruit to eat.  Here in South Florida, our climate affords us the luck to grow some of the tastiest and hardiest varieties of mango just for you.

The haden mango is the 'OGM' (Original Gangster of Mangoes hee hee) of South Florida mangoes; it's the first named superior cultivar in our region.  The original haden mango is still living in Coconut Grove and is over 110 years old!  Known for it's red blush on the skin when it's ripe and it' almost piney scent, the haden is a firm sweet fruit with very little to no fiber.  Produces large quanities of fruit.  If you want a tree for commerical jproduction, this is the one.  It will grow to be a medum to large rounded canopy tree so make sure it has plenty of room in the landscape.

Our mangoes are sold in a 3-gallon because it's easier and less expensive to ship for you. The 3-gallon plants are usually around 3 ft high depending on the variety. Though e do have most of the varieties in a 7-gallon as well so please contact us if you are interested.  Because it is a living plant we expidite shipping in some areas to make sure the plant arrives healthy and alive.
