OMG we have some gorgeous monstera's!  This philodendron is pertussum though can be called 'monstera deliciosa' because the conical seed pod that it produces is an odd looking edible (and only edible once the sections separate from themselves but poisionous anytime before that like ackee fruit).  The plant itself is not edible.  It is also called 'Swiss cheese plant' because of the leaf shape.  The monstera like many philodendrons will need some support as they grow since in their natural habitat they will clamber along the forest floor and up the trunks of trees and palms kind of like a vine does.   Either way this amazing aroid is a true show stopper in the garden and on every plant collector's list as a staple must-have.  Plus it is an easy plant to grow.  Grows in zone 8-11; not frost hardy.

Though be aware for all you pet owners and parents to check whether any plant has poisonous elements to it before introducing it as a house plant. The philodendron family is considered poisonous if parts of the actual plant are ingested.  Here is a link for your concerns on the symptoms and treatment for philodendrons because we are animal lovers and parents as well.

Our philodendron 'monstera's are sold in a 3-gallon because it's less expensive to ship for you.  The 3-gallon plants are currently about 3-4 ft high.   Though we do have most of the varieties in a 1-gallon and 7-gallon as well so please contact us if you are interested in a different size plant.  Because it is a living plant we expedite shipping to make sure the plant arrives healthy and alive.   Please read the section about our plants on our FAQs page for more information.
