This gem of a fern is a unique addition to your garden!   The silver lace fern (pteris ensiformis) grows best in part shade/part sun (filtered sun and/or indirect sunlight) as an understory plant.  It can grow up to 24 inches high and spread out to about 22 inches wide.  Can be grown in the landscape, in a hanging basket and/or in a container.  With it's ivory white center and kelly green outside of the leaf, it fools the eye to thinking it's metallic or shimmery.  Quite a stunner in the shade!   Grows outdoors in zones 11-8; though in any colder region it should be grown in a container to bring in from frost.

The silver ribbon fern is sold in a 6-inch pot and is currently about 7 inches wide x 12-14 inches high.   Because it is a living plant we expedite shipping to make sure the plant arrives healthy and alive.  Please read the section about our plants on our FAQs page for more information.
